About Joyce

Joyce Huo is a Registered Nurse (RN) and the Founder of Liora Wellness.

Her healthcare career spans more than two decades across China and Australia, with experience in frontline nursing, nursing education, aged care management and service operations. Her previous roles have included Registered Nurse, Lecturer / Tutor, Assistant Director of Nursing, ACFI Coordinator, Acting Care Manager, Deputy Service Manager and Service Manager.

Earlier in her career in China, Joyce also worked in tertiary-level nursing education as a Lecturer and Tutor, teaching and supporting nursing students. That teaching experience continues to shape her approach today: understanding the clinical information is only part of the job — the other part is explaining it clearly, practically and in a way people can actually use.

Through years of working in clinical care, education and management, Joyce saw a recurring problem: health information is often available, but it can be fragmented, overly technical and difficult for people to translate into practical next steps.

Liora Wellness was created to help bridge that gap.

Joyce focuses on turning complex health information into clear, practical education for women aged 40 and over, with particular interest in midlife health, sleep, energy, perimenopause and menopause, healthy ageing, and navigating the Australian healthcare system.

Her extensive aged care experience also informs Liora’s work in helping women navigate care for ageing parents — from understanding My Aged Care and home support to evaluating residential aged care and preparing for important family care decisions.

Joyce believes good health education should not create fear or overwhelm. It should help people understand their options, ask better questions and take practical next steps.

That is the purpose of Liora Wellness: clear information, practical guidance and better-informed health decisions.

Liora Wellness provides general health education and does not replace individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
